
PAGOSA SPRINGS, CO - Laura George, mother of a missing snowboarder, says search crews have found two bodies at the Wolf Creek ski area.
Mineral County Sheriff Department have confirmed that the two bodies found are those of missing Albuquerque snowboarders, 27-year-old roommates Michael George and Kyle Kerschen. The roomates were last seen on January 4th at the Colorado ski resort.
Snow finally melted enough to allow family and friends of the missing roommates to resumed the ground and air search Sunday.
KRQE News 13 was told two bodies have been located near the Knife Ridge part of the Wolf Creek ski area in Southern Colorado. Family members say the bodies were found about an 1/8 of a mile apart.
The bodies have been removed from the ski resort and according to a family contact, Lloyd Aragon, say the bodies went to Monta Vista Colorado for autopsies and identification..
What this article doesnt mention is that on the day they were missing a storm started that lasted for over 7 days and dumped 90 inches, then followed by a 50 inch dump 1 week later. The area of the mountain that they were found can be a bad avalanche area when that much snow falls in such a short time. Thank god the family finally has some closure.
