After a nice relaxing Christmas and New Years with the fam, I dove right into the season. On the second, Rory Bushfield, Chris Rubens, James Heim and I teamed up with photographer Ian Coble to compete in a 3 day powder photo shoot contest in Whistler. We hit pillows and road gaps and had a blast shooting sun up to sun down.
I did a couple days filming with the MSP crew out at the Hurley. I was skiing the deepest snow I have ever seen. The pillows were massive. After landing you had to cross your fingers that you would make it out cause you couldn’t see a thing. So much snow! I cant wait to get back out.
From there I hopped on a plane and headed to Les Contamines, France for a World Cup Halfpipe event. It was sunny and the pipe was top notch. I walked away with the win. Psyched! Jen Hudak and Mijam Jaeger were right behind. On the guys side…they KILLED it! Matt Hayward won it for the guys with a huge 12 first hit. Keven Rowland was second and Justin Dorey was third. Three out of six podium finishes were Canadians! What!
I just landed in CO last night and will be doing some training with the gang at Copper for the next couple days then will head to Assssspen for X Games. I will keep you posted on how it goes! Take’r easy.
