Okay.... my first blog for this go211.com business. So i just recently made a short day trip out to Detroit, Michigan to meet with Chevrolet about a new deal i've got with them. I am super pumped about this as i had no idea until recently that they were such advocates for new renewable clean energy. So being that we all snowboard or use our planets natural elements to play on, this was a huge deal..... especially for an AMERICAN CAR COMPANY! Anyway I was there the evening of the 27th and had the pleasure to see a Red Wings game! For those of you who aren't familiar with the Red Wings, they are Detroit's pride in professional sports (hockey). So we had great seats to start right behind one of the nets. But about the mid way through the second period, we got the invite to make our way up to the pimpin, top level super cool box seats. Which is where i met the great Steve Yzerman. Who was an amazing player whom just retired recently. So that was pretty cool for me since i'm a hockey fan, and play myself.
The next morning we had our Team emersion day at their office. Here they told me everything about what new technologies they are using and coming up with for better cars and a better environment. They briefed me in on all of their hybrid, fuell cell and electric cars coming out soon. Like I said before, who would have thought Chevy would be a leader for car manufacturers in this new hybrid & renewable fuel technology. I'm very impressed! So I'll be driving the new Chevy Avalanche (Flexfuel). Flexfuel is the E-85 Ethanol which is a fuel that comes from recycled corn. Take that middle east! ha. well that's about all i can tell you for now, but soon i'll be able to delve a bit more in the awesome new things coming from CHEVY.
On another note, i went snowboarding a lot this week.... It was FUN! Pipe at Copper, jumps at Breckenridge, and they are all SO FUN. well i am going to take a nap now. Later
