DAY 3 -
After a great night of heavy sleep everybody woke up around 7 to the snow still falling hard! We set out to the gondola again to find something to do on the mountain again today. The snow was still falling about an inch per minute. From the gondola to where we found a good pitch was probably about 200 yards away, however it took us almost an hour to get to our destination due to about five feet of fresh snow. As we boot packed our way to the steep section of the zone we all thought it was the most snow any of us had seen in one place before.
So we finally got to our little spot, which was a small ridge through a patch of big old trees. We made three jumps to try to get some good photos and video of. Chad and Ryan made a jump that pretty much shot them through a pair of gigantic trees, which James and I thought was a pretty sketchy move, but it worked out well for both of them. James and I built our take off a little lower than the other guys and ended up flying over a couple of tree stumps and through some branches. This pretty much took us all day to build and coordinate this operation.
Back to the hotel to hang up all of our stuff to dry for tomorrow. Still no sign of my bag at all. And the hotel said that all flights to Srinagar would be cancelled for the next few days due to the weather. Thanks a lot KLM, you still suck big time! Dinner tonight is getting a little spicier than last nights meal. But still amazingly good! Good night, Fisher out!
