Mel Keith & The Strombachs

It’s about time for a female led band armed with intelligent and catchy songs to come out of Eastern Canada. Loud, energetic, stripped down and full of catchy hooks, The Strombachs deliver sublimely rocking tunes. The band kicked off their past two years of touring by winning the “Extreme Music Series Battle of The Bands”, which gave them a showcase at “Wakestock ‘05”, where they played alongside punk legends The Dead Kennedy’s, Goldfinger, and The Pocket Dwellers to name a few.

While touring across Canada in 2006 and 2007, The Strombachs single “Amazing” made it through to the semi-finals round of the prestigious 2007 International Song Writing Competition in Nashville, TN. Also, their fist pumping song “In Your Web” was chosen by the NEMO music festival in Boston, MA to be part of a website for professional extreme sports athletes, www.go211.com.
