As Thanksgiving approaches next week, it is a great time to reflect on the blessings God has given me. I for one, need to take time and "be still" before the Lord and realize how blessed I really am. With three children, it is easy for days and weeks and even months to pass by in the midst of all the chaos to forget how thankful I should be. I am thankful for a God who is all powerful and for a great church family in Fresno. I am thankful for my parents. I am thankful for my wife and children and for our health. I am thankful for my friends. I am also thankful that I have been able to make a living riding my bike for so long.............I could keep going and going. The sobering thing is, I have so much to be thankful for, and I still find things to complain about. Paul has something to say about that in Philippians 2:14 "Do everything without complaining or arguing..." I kinda wish he would have replaced "everything" with "most things" or "some things". I am thankful for Thanksgiving, a time where people take time to reflect, however, I am challenged to try and keep that attitude year round.
Below is a mini life progression of the past 5 years or so....from before kids to having three young spirits that God has entrusted to Carrie and I. They teach me so much every day, and make me laugh every day.
