First I want to thank Lisa Kosglow and John Quigley for working with me on getting my new custom profile set up. I thought it turned out awesome and John did a great job with the pictures and captured the exact feel I wanted for my page.
Just returned from Oldsmar, FL last night. The weather was great, not too hot or too cold and the track was really fun to race. It was a tight track but had paved corners and I really had fun carving the corners...and I have to talk up the Tioga Powerblock tires for a second. I can honestly say I have never had a tire stick in a paved corner like the new Tioga. This was the first time I got to race them on paved turns and I was very impressed.
I just missed the cut Saturday with a 5th in the semi qualifier for the UCI round, we had around 40 guys. Sunday we had 27 AA Pros with a majorly stacked field with many top guys not making it out of the motos. I ended up 4th for the day after going 3-3-7 in the three mains. Had lane 8 in the last main and didn't get the start I needed. Even though I don't consider a DNQ and a 4th a great weekend, I had a good time racing and I will always look forward to going to Oldsmar.
Below is a pic of me at the airport waiting to go home from Tampa. Pete D. and I got there pretty early and Pete was bored so he was taking some pictures. It was a looooooong trip home after a hard day of racing. By the time I crawled into bed I had been up for 22 hours.
