I know I said I would post part 2 next week, but I had the time now so here goes.

WORRY
Life is not merely a set of circumstances that happen to us, it is more telling how we respond to these events that shape our life and build our character.
We need to let go. We can not arrange for the life on earth we prize. God is in complete control and no matter how smart we think we are, God has all supreme wisdom.
I Corinthians 1:19 "For it is written; 'I will destroy the wisdom of the wise; the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate."
When we thought William was coming home with us, and then it looked like that was not going to be the case, Carrie and I really became anxious and worried about the situation. We fretted quite a bit because we thought in our own wisdom that it was best for William to be with us. After we thought it was certain he would not come home to us, we finally were able to let go after we took ourselves off of the case. We completely surrendered and it felt like a huge weight had been lifted. Four days after we took ourselves off of the case, we got a call that he was coming home to us that afternoon. Unbelievable! God has his own timing and I am convinced God wanted to teach us a lesson in surrender.
Only after we stopped trying to control the situation did God step in and work it out. It had nothing to do with our efforts, but everything to do with God and his grace.
Proverbs 16:9 "In his heart a man plans his course, but the Lord determines his steps."
