Okay, a thunderstorm passed through the track yesterday during practice. When the rain settled down a bit Cristian and I decided to leave the track and head back to the hotel. We were driving out of the park and just turned on the roadway when we heard a loud crack.....really loud. Made me jump in the car. Didn't think much of it after that. We found out later lightning struck this tree directly behind the starting hill and severed half of the tree off. Cristian and I drove by this tree literally less than five minutes before this happened. However, Tim Dinger was apparently ten feet away. Said he felt the electricity run up his leg through his arm. CRAZY!!!!!! So if you see a storm approaching, stay away from Tim Dinger.
