The road trip to SLC was super fun with Carrie and Noah. Actually got to see some of the nice mountains in Salt Lake Friday before practice. I didn't realize you could be up in the mountains in a matter of 20 minutes. I'll post some pics of that later this week. The race went well for me as I traded wins with Maris, 2nd for me Saturday and 1st on Sunday. The track was in excellent shape. After riding here again this year this is my honest opinion, Rad Canyon has the best smoothest turns I have probably ever ridden. They even fixed their gate and made it the same angle as the hill, which I reallly liked. Before it always felt awkward. Now they just need to change some of the jumps as they have been the same for a few years.
Thanks to Trevor and Matt for the sweet GHP pit area for everyone to hang out in and congrats to the GHP factory for second place on Saturday, not sure how they did on Sunday. And thanks to Eric Rupe for the five bottles of water I drank out of the GT trailer to keep my mouth from going dry during the mains.
And no surprise, the i-phone let us down once again as Rob and I were looking for a radio shack so I could solve my car charging problems with my 3rd generation i-phone. It was another one of those classics where Rob is looking down at his phone telling me where to go and he says "here, its right here.....says we just passed it"....and all i see out the window is a field and a sign that says "Dead End".
