Elite Men had the exact same top three spots as Saturday, Maris, me then Cisar. Race was super small so we were done by 10:30, so getting home early was nice. Rob got a second, Bittner got a second, Lubbe got a second almost getting Josh Meyers at the line. Tony had some bad luck in the motos and didn't make the SuperX final.
One of the best parts of my weekend was driving home with my little buddy William. My parents brought him to the race to hang out and check things out. Of course his first question after he got there Saturday was "Daddy where's Mikey Day???" It is always good to have family at the races and I appreciate my mom and dad for coming out and bringing William.
I got home in time to make it to small group Sunday evening where our group from church meets at different homes Sunday evenings. I have been out of town for seven weekends straight, so it was nice to see everyone and have a nice discussion on Luke 5:1-11 led by John Hollett. He had some good questions and good thoughts. This weekend our group is heading over to Morro Bay for a few days to spend a little time near one of God's most magnificent parts of creation and to refresh our minds spiritually. And also to eat, and Carrie is cooking so it should be yummy.
