Okay so my trip to Louisville hit a few bumps in the road, nothing major though. I started out the morning with my first flight cancelled, but after doing some rearranging and suggesting some alternatives to the United representative on the phone, we were able to figure out a way to get me there at the same time, which was cool cause I was going to meet up with Pete D. So props to United for that, although at the airport in Fresno the United agent had a slightly rude disposition with me. I just chalked it up to an early morning and maybe she needed her coffee. Well, Pete D. got called back to the office after he was already at the airport...something big must have gone down at Intense Bicycles and Pete had to go straighten it out. Well, Pete had the rental car reserved, so I did not have time to make my own reservation as they are not transferable. So I walk up to National and they quote me 80 dollars a day.....I said "huh???" They said yeah thats the normal rate. I walked over to Alamo which quoted me 79 dollars a day....I said "HUH???" So I rented the car, slightly irritated at the rate. I walked outside and saw they gave me something slightly larger than a smart car.....for 79 dollars??? I was slightly more irritated. I proceeded to Waffle House where I met Rob, Doug and Austin to wash down my irritation with some waffles and grits. I got to the hotel and checked hotwire....hmmmm...they had cars for 17 bucks a day. I made a reservation and took the other car back the next day. So thats my story, you be the judge, is the car below worth 79 dollars a day?
