Wow I am tired. The weekend wasn't even that long and come Monday morning I feel like I got run over by a truck, twice. Lancaster had some great weather this weekend. Uncharacteristically (is that a word?? Can you check for me Austeezy?) there was no wind on Saturday and although it got a bit breezy on Sunday it wasn't that bad. I ended up winning AA Pro both days which I really couldn't believe because just about everyone was there (except the Donald, guess the wedding plans are getting too hectic). Kyle Bennett was back to regular form getting second both days and almost blowing right by me on day one in the second to last corner. The track was a leg burner for sure and thanks to the ABA for being flexible and letting us run 1 main both days. My 32 year-old body appreciates it.
Philip Castro had some bad luck in 19-27 expert and missed the final both days, but won open on Saturday. It was fun hanging out with Philip although Rob and I had to teach him a few things such as no cell phones at meal time, no changing the channell during NasCar, and the newbie must buy the first meal of the weekend for everyone. Thanks Phil for the great breakfast at the Black Bear Diner.
Rob almost won 36-40 expert on Saturday but got passed in the second corner. Sunday he waited for the gate to fall, then went. Guess he lost focus. He was already thinking about Outback Steakhouse I think.
A huge congrats to Tony Hoffman for getting his first win in A Pro on Sunday. I had a feeling he was in for a victory this weekend watching him at practice the last couple weeks. He overcame getting lane 8 all three motos on Saturday to make the final and get second, and then rode a super clean lap on Sunday for the win. 8 years off the bike, a couple spent in prison, training for 10 months straight to a victory in A Pro is pretty impressive in my book. Congrats bro.
Well that is it. Orlando in two weeks and until then, back to school work and studying for this crazy math test that Donald doesn't think I'll pass. :)
