Okay so I've been trying to write a blog for like the last hour, but the World Series is on so my focus is shot. I normally wouldn't even have it on, but everybody here at Craig bleeds purple and black so I felt it was my duty to watch a bit of it. So fat the Rockies got their butts handed to them in the first game and right now their down 2 to 1 so we'll see.
Acutally the first thing I wanted to do was thank Leigh Donovan for sending me the very cute shirt, but more importantly for the information on the Reeve-Irvine Research Center. I spoke to Troy Lee last week as well and he had mentioned something to me about a research center in Irvine that he went to with Ernesto and Doug Henry and he wanted me to go with them when I get home. Until then I'll read the newsletter that Leigh sent me to see what it's all about. I never thought too much of stem cell research until now. Now it seems so important and I want to know more about it.
As for today it was busy. My schedule is so packed this week and I love it, but at the same time my back is getting pretty pissed off at me. I've been in some pain and had to miss a couple classes, but it was the smart thing to do. Today I had fun in my OT class. Jenn is my therapist and we went down to Safeway so I could buy food to cook tomorrow. When I say we went down there I don't mean we drove. We walked down there. Well she walked. I pushed. We pretty much laughed the whole way. Once we got there I cruised through the store and got all my ingredients. As I wheeled through the store Jenn followed right behind me. So when we got to the vegteble section I wheeled around one of the islands. Then I wheeled around the island again....and again...and wouldn't you know Jenn followed me the whole time. HAHA!! You had to be there to see her do that before she realized I was going in freakin' circles. Hey, you gotta have fun where fun can be had.
So, anyway tomorrow is Friday and again another full schedule. This weekend should be fun though. My friends Cam and Claire are here from Australia and I think we might have a barbque. Good times....good times. Well, I'll be working hard tomorrow and trying to get better. If I don't have a chance to write tomorrow I hope you all have a great weekend. Oh and I finally put some new photos up. The photos are by Anne Keller and she took loads more, but I posted about six of them. Hope you like them.
