4th of July and stuff

Posted at 02:30:00 AM

So last weekend for the 4th of July we went up to Sacramento to visit some friends and had a great time. They live on a little lake and also have a pool in the backyard so I made sure to work on my tan and have a few drinks. Well as it turned out I must have had a few too many drinky drinks since I decided to roll on into the pool with no bathing suit! Now before you get any ideas (you dirty dirty minds) I was wearing clothes. ALL of my clothes to be exact. Yup, I just cruised on in along with my mobile and all my medication. It took about 10 minutes to realize (mainly because I was swimming around) everything had been submerged. Instead of getting pissed I laughed it off.....for about 10 seconds then it not so funny anymore. I ended up laying the phone out as my meds were all desinigrating into the pool. Good times...good times. So we laid out the last few meds that tried to make it on a kleenex where they did some sunbathing of their own. I managed to salvage just enough to get me through the rest of the weekend. Although after careful consideration after all that I was kinda glad they were gone. I don't even want the damn things anymore so there you have it. Anyway, so therapy has been going really good and I really look forward to getting there every week. My therapist Michelle pushes me and I love that when I get there I have no idea what we're going to be doing. She's unpredictable with everything we do and to me that is so important. I have so many photos and videos that I need to pick some out to upload for everyone. Today I went in for more injections. The difference this time is that I went to a spine specialist last week and he took one look at the radiology notes from the CT scans I had done in Janurary at Casa Colina and it actually said right there that I had a bone fragment floating around and pinching my nerve right around T12 L1, which of course is right where I'm in a helluva lot of pain. I can't tell you how happy I was to hear him say he knew what the problem was. Gawd, I hope he's right!! Basically the plan is for me to try the injections in a different place than before and see how that works. If it does freakin' fantastic! If it doesn't well then they'll have go do a spinal tap to make sure of exactly where the pinch is and then go in surgically to remove the bone fragment. I REALLY don't want to do that for obvious reasons, BUT I am so sick and tired of this pain that I'll do anything to not wake up eight times during the night because it hurts so bad or to be able to sit without pain for more than a couple hours. So I'll be crossing my fingers for the next week to see if this injection takes. Feel free to cross your fingers too. :) Okay, I better get to bed since it's midnight and I've got therapy in the a.m Thank you to everyone that has continued to support me and my recovery. I will get there and hopefully even faster with your help. Oh and I have finally had time to reply to all the messages that were sent to me from when I was at Craig, but I will get to everyone of them. Cheers! tara Never Give Up!
