| X Games Finals | So yesterday my mom and I went to the XGames thanks to Chad Kagy and ended having a great time. It was a long day in the sun, but I got to see a lot of people that I didn't expect to see.
First we watched the Women's Moto X finals and it was great to see them looking smooth and jumping the same stuff the guys were hitting. Even though they may have doubled some of the jumps instead of tripling them they were still charging it. While we were over there I had a chance to briefly talk to Jimmy Button who had a life changing accident a few years back. He was in a wheelchair for awhile, but not up and walking and it's great to see.
After the Women's main we watched the Men's finals. Where we were sitting was on top of the dirt drop in where the guys/girls went onto the track. It was cool to be right next to all the riders, but it was really hard to see everything that was going on. We could have seen more on TV, but like I said it was still cool to be there in person.
Then we went over to Troy's rig and had some lunch and had a chance to see Troy and Redding and chat for a bit. It was good to get out of the sun and have my mom sit down for a bit. I know it was hard for her to stand that whole time. Funny...cuz' she wanted to sit and all I wanted to do was stand! :)
After some pasta and a super good cupcake we went over to watch the BMX Vert Finals. We watched the guys go through elimination rounds and then the finals. Chad looked sick and hit some big tricks. I wish I knew the names of all of them, but I don't. I just know my mouth was hanging open! But Jamie Bestwick was last to go and had to kill it to win since he screwed up big in his second run. Well, Jamie can play under pressure and pulled off the win. It was kinda cool because he didn't even know he won so when someone told him his face was priceless. So Chad ended up with a gold and silver for the weekend. Not bad!
We finally left after the vert finals. We were there for way longer than I thought we'd be so we took off cuz' I was kinda hurting. I had a really fun time and today I was exhausted. I could tell that I didn't drink nearly enough water yesterday and had a splitting headache so I seriously just took it easy and hung out with my dog for the day.
So it's late and I've got to get up early to get some blood work done before heading to therapy tomorrow. I hope you all had a great weekend and I'll write more soon!
