My gawd Vegas can take a lot out of you. I always know how tired I'm going to get when I leave for Vegas and this year did not disappoint!
I spent most of my time between the Giant booth and my Tara Llanes Road to Recovery booth. I was stoked to actually have my own booth thanks to some friends at Interbike. So, let me just say THANK YOU to everyone that came by my booth to either shake my hand and talk a bit or to buy a shirt or a hoodie. Meeting everyone was awesome.
The other half of the time I was at the Giant booth with the other women on the council. Okay, here is a little fun tidbit so follow me here. While we were there talking to some of the dealers Jenny brought some of those individually wrapped Snickers candies. Since I was talking to someone I just set it on my lap. As soon as I was done I left to check out some of the show with Greg and Trever from TLD. We probably walked around for about an hour and every once in awhile I had to do weight shift so that my butt didn't start to hurt to bad. Greg and Trever took off, but my friend Stephan showed up and we started walking back to Giant. Before we got there I had to use the restroom. I got in there and transfered over to the toilet and as soon as I did I saw all this shit. I was like HOLY SHIT did I just crap my pants??!!! I had about 3 seconds of freaking out before I saw the goddamn Snickers wrapper stuck in there. I had Snickers bar smashed all over my seat cushion and I just started laughing my ass off! Okay, come on that is funny stuff. Well, until I had to clean it up and it took me forever!! Haha!
Okay, anyway so the show was good that there were tons of shiny new bikes and all that good stuff. It was so great to see everyone one again. CVD, Colin, Kirt, Redding, Dusty, Carter, Els, Sven & Anka, Monk Dog, Frishy, Hans, Paula & Brian, etc. I had a great time hanging with Troy and the boys at dinner and the at the premiere of NWD. Thank you to Derek and Ced for getting me in VIP style, and also to Heath for a fun party at the Hard Rock.
I just got home yesterday and I slept a ton today and it was awesome! I have pics to post and I'll try to get them up tomorrow.
