ABA Missouri (Tue, 13 May 2008 Posted at 09:00:00 PM)
Just got home from Missouri yesterday and decided to take the day off. I was super tired and still on Central time.
I found out that i was going to Kansas City the thursday before the race. I got my flight and left Thursday evening. I missed my flight in Houston and had to stay the night there until the next flight out in the morning. Good thing that is where i used to live and a few of my friends swooped me up from the airport and went back to the LC. We ended up staying up all night because my flight left at 630am and didnt feel like waking up so damn early.
I got into Kansas City around 8 and one of the team dads picked me up from the airport and we went straight to the tack. I got out of the car and the track was all mud! I wasnt to stoked about the whole situation because i just cleaned my bike! I never clean my bike so it was kinda a big deal. By the time my practice rolled around the track was dryed up and pretty dialed. The jumps were super tech and deep which made the track pretty rad.
Woke up Saturday morning and headed to the track, did a few gates to get warmed up and then it was race time. I ended up winning saturday and sunday moving me up from number 14 in standing to number 5. Im hoping after new mexico i will be up in the 1 spot for the year end title race with Nic Long.
Thanks to Dre Norles for the ride and a place to stay in Kansas City!
Trey Maeker, Lexa Jones, and Andre Norles also rode well this weekend picking up some wins and crashes! haha
