Transit- Stay Home (Run For Cover Rec)
Yeah, this pretty much rules. Emotive hardcore at its finest, these young Boston kids will leave you nostalgic for your Lifetime and Hot Water Music records as they pump out 6 songs of youthful punk and hardcore spirit.
With sharp, catchy songwriting, buzzing guitars, great singing, breakdowns in the all right places and enough punch to avoid being bland, these guys have a lengthy career ahead of them considering no one in the band is older than 21.
While Transit may not exactly be breaking new ground musically, they do a damn good job of rewriting the past, playing excellent melodic hardcore that was a lot more common ten years ago and has often since been done in a mediocre fashion. Very few bands have duplicated this sound with this kind of conviction and interest.
Fans of The Get Up Kids, Texas Is The Reason, Braid or even harder bands like Ignite or Good Riddance need to check these guys out- you won't be disappointed.
