Just got back from the Portland Dew Tour. It could have gone a bit better, but whatever... I'm healthy and it was good to be back at one of these and see some faces I dont get to see. Due to injury, I only made it to the first 2 Dews last year. Then I went to Afghanistan this year instead of going to the first one.
The US Airways lost ALL my stuff-bike, gear-everything! Sweet! So 2 hours before prelims were supposed to start I was back at the airport with Daniel Dhers getting our stuff. Luckily it came and I squeaked in some practice. I have been to plenty of Dew Tours, so I just wanted to use this one to get a few tricks done for the first time. My first run went ok, so towards the end I tried my first bar spin flair on a real ramp. I've only done these on resi. I nervous grabbed the center of the cross bar, but adjusted my hands and then took it, but not horrible. I got the 1st one out of the way now I thought-so I feel like i can do it now. I rolled in with confidence for my second run and crashed a b spin seat grab 1 footer I always do. So great-that was it.... 16th place. Over.

Koji Had a great run going and was gonna be close to making it into finals. So what does he do? Finish with a big trick to make it easy for the judges to give him the nod for the finals? Nope, how about fly out early with 6 seconds still on the clock and then throw his bike off the ramp when his score comes in and throw a tantrum!! I slapped him in the face and told him he deserved everything he got. I love Koji and I'm a HUGE fan of his riding. He is a crazy beeatch though! hahaha
