So it's been a few days since I have returned from my mini pipeline adventure on the island of O'ahu and after spending the day riding some pretty epic pow in freezing cold Colorado it really began to feel like a hundred years ago that I was swimming in the pacific and eating delicious shave ice with my crew. Here are a few photos to remind me and you of the amazingness of Hawaii and deliciousness of shave ice, I mean really how can flavored ice be so awesome....
Jeremy, me, Ester, Jason......did somebody say shave ice, Tommy Czeschin is so jealous. There is only one place to get real shave ice on the North Shore, Matsumoto which is probably why we ran into Ester our little swiss friend there. Yummmmm....the lilikoa is amazing.
Here's the other thing; Jeremy, who would like to be refered to as J2, and Jason, who I refer to as Jay SUN, were noticing that they were not included in my previous blogs yet were very much apart of all adventures so I made extra sure to document this shave ice experience. They are both uber fabulous and made hawaii that much more epic....
OUr Fabulous Beach crew Amen Teter, me, Scott Lago, and Jason Lago
Everyday we went to Waimea and laid in the sand by the huge rock that everyone jumps off of despite the huge death and dismemberment signs hung all around it. And when I say everyone, I mean everyone on the beach, babies in diapers, old people, young people, everyone except Jason and I, Amen and Scotty tried unsucessfully to persuade us to jump of the dang thing but seeing as how I am not all that into jumping off massive rocks into shark filled oceans in the first place and how everytime they came back from jumping it the hit the bottom so hard they were in sand up to their necks we decided to lazer bake on the beach instead. Still fun, and if it weren't for the SPF 55 slathered all over my skin and the hoodies I insisted on wearing on the beach I might have actually gotten tan. Oh well......next time....xoxo t
