This season has probably been my most epic pow season ever, which might not be saying a lot since I grew up in the icy wilds of New England and seeing as how I have spent the past 19 years riding icy pipes the whole world over, but still every trip I have been on this year has been full of snowy pow days; Aspen, Utah, Switzerland, Aspen again and now Tammarack, Idaho. This place has become legendary for it's massive amounts of new snow and posh ghost town like atmosphere. Last year we can here for a week and it dumped everyday, and we rode freshies from 9-4, seriously this is the only place where you can show up at 11 and see fresh pow under the lift, it's crazy, it almost feels like Japan when you go in the woods, there are no tracks so part of you feels like you're doing something sacreligious. Anyway, this year is no exception, there are walls of snow 10feet high bordering every road and every path way to each one of our mcmansions(tammarack hooks it up here, we stay in the nicest "cabins" that are more like mansions and we have a private chef, yeah Idaho).

Greg Betz, Matt "gnomi" Ladley, Elijah Teter, Gretchen Bleiler in tammaracks snowy maze.
Today was awesome, we rode northwest pow in thick pine trees with whooops and gullies and all our friends, and now it is puking out and we are supposed to get another 16inches tonight. This place is the best kept secret so don't tell anyone, no worries no one reads this blog so our secret is safe.....
Tommy Czeschin gettin some, keep in mind I am shooting from the hip with my snazzy point and shoot.
Ditto, Elijah Teter about to get some.
Gb and Me, green is the new....
There was something about that color green today, it seemed that everyone had some item of clothing in that limey, kelly or what have you greeny. But Gretchen and I really looked matchy matchy aka like douche bags. In an effort to embrace it, we told everyone one we worked there as part of the Tammarack ski school or we were training for the powder 8's contest, no one bought it, we just looked like idiots, surprise, surprise.
This picture definitely doesn't do it justice but you get the idea, it's snowing in Idaho.
XOXOX......t
