I just woke up, jet lagged and wondering what happened to my day, and for that matter the day before today and yesterday too. Feeling groggy and grateful for the comforts of my own bed and for the invention of sleep after nearly two weeks in the Island nation of Japan. Anyone who knows me knows I don't sleep, not that I won't sleep but can't so the fact that last night I slept 14 hours straight and then took a three hour nap has got me wondering what is up.

Could be jet lag from Japan and my bodies refusal to sleep in the upright and locked position for the ten hour flight home or the sheer exhaustion could be from the fact that we decided to stay up all night in Tokyo to see the fish market auctions and early morning Tokyo happenings and figured that the only way to do that would be to go out all night and sing Karoke, ouch. Yes going out all night means just that, we got back to our hotel a little after 7am for a few hours of sleep before our journey home. Yes that must be the cause of all this sleeping........it's all coming back now. Here are a few photos documenting our trip and most of our bad ideas.....
It started out tame enough on the train ride from Alts Bandai to Tokyo. Mellow SARS masks for maximum germ protection.
Ellery and Kelly Tokyo bound.
We made it to Tokyo at about 9ish and went out for a mellow dinner, mellow Karoke fun times etc. actually quite boring in the grand scheme of things, just trying to stay up until the fish market got going around 4 or so. That was until around 3:30am when Jenny Jones, Meri Peltonen, and Cinna dressed in cartoon costumes came busting in to our Karoke room with the rest of the Finns in tow. These photos try to capture the awesomeness of late nights in Tokyo with your friends... Jenny and Torah, everyone loves a Mogwai!
Liam, Jenny, Adam, Cinne and Jamie singing one of the multiple pod trash songs sung Sunday night.
Moran, Jamie and Antti belting it out, Take a look at Jamie's face, she is known for her dramatic looks as well as playing Red Hot Chili Peppers "Snow" again and again.
Jenny, Benny and Greenwood showing what $120 bottle of cheap Champagne can do for a party.
Bridges, double fisting and missing his mouth, might have something to do with the fact that he was using a rolled up menu as a funnel for pitchers of beer.
Lilo or stich lost in the Karoke maze
More Karoke insanity, they had to kick us out and two hours later we left.
Please look at susie's awesomeness and Meri's too for that matter.
Antti, the finnish Mick Jagger
Adam's porn mustach suddenly seems like a good idea.
This is what we stayed up for, try to imagine the smell....
Massive Tuna, kind of sketched me out to think how many huge fish are in the sea and how they drag them around on nasty ass floors with hooks before they end up on our plates. hmmmm
