The Oakley Crew introducing "Uniquely"
In classic Aspen fashion it's October 4th and the skies are threatening to shower us with the seasons first snowfall and so it seems appropriate that Aspen's mini shred film festival and all around bro down "the meeting" is well underway. Last night was my first night venturing out to free drinks and high five zone and all in the name of two of this seasons much anticipated films; Oakley's homage to womens action sports "Uniquely" and Travis Rice and Curt Morgan's two year epic extravaganza "That's it That's all". Ummmm....yeah, they were both epic and all around awesome, the cinematography was insane and for those of you who have been asleep at the wheel for like the last 5 years Travis Rice is pretty much the shizz and with a mind blowing budget you can imagine the level of awesomeness. And by mind blowing budget I mean a two year stint of helicpoters filming helicopters filming helicopters, let's not even get into the carbon footprint this movie left on planet earth, if it's anything close to the impression it left on movie goes we're doomed. *needless to say Jeremy Jones is a badass as well, epic AK stuff.
John Roderick and Liesle Holtz hug it out after surviving the making of Oakley's "Uniquely"
Let's not forget the Women's movie, although they only used one meesley heli it was still epic and ground breaking for an all sport women's film, bringing us around the world on skate, surf and snow missions in a way that connects good riding with the experience of life on the road searching for good riding. Here is the "Uniquely" teaser and you can watch the world premiere live on GO211 the 23rd at 7pm PST, in the meantime enjoy
