Well, there were plenty of the go211 BMX Racing Pro Team in attendance in Boulder City, Nevada, a sleepy litle suburb of Vegas. A sleepy little suburb with 3 huge casinos? Your grandparents would be stoked! Donny Robinson, Kyle Bennett, Alise Post, Joey Bradford, Arielle Martin and Lee Lewis all made the trek to Nevada to get some of those valuable UCI points. What, they wanna go to the Olympcs or something?
KB was on fire as usual, grabbing the Elite Men's win on Friday, but had to settle for second place on Saturday. dR Donny was his usual consistent self, grabbing the second on Friday but a nasty crash in Saturday's semi kept himout of the main event. Joey Bradford is just about back from his wrist injury and it showed on Friday with a nice main event appearance for the new Elite rider, this time for 6th place. Lee Lewis, in his first race as an Elite, was pretty nervous about the whole thing. Don't forget the sprints Lewis!
Alise Post made it out there and all she wanted was to get some nice Jr Women's points to remind everyone that she's serious about her 2012 Olympic bid. Well, she must've scared all the other Juniors away, cuz none of them bothered to show up. So the UCI powers that be bumped her up into the Elite Women's class. Oh the horror! She was so scared that she won both days. Arielle Martin finished 4th on Friday and 2nd on Saturday, proving that she is the most consistent American woman and is ready for 08 Beijing.
