USASA Seeking Nominations for Two Riders Representatives (Wed, 26 Mar 2008 Posted at 10:33:59 AM)
ATTENTION ALL RIDERS!!! The USASA is currently accepting nominations for two people to serve as Riders Representatives for 2008-2009. A Riders Representative is a member of the USASA Executive Board with full voting rights. He or she represents the interests and perspective of all USASA competitive athletes. The Riders Representatives will hold office for a term of one year. In order to be eligible for the position, you must be actively engaged in amateur snowboard competition or you must have represented the US in international amateur snowboard competition within the past nine years.
If you or someone you know is interested in running for one of the Riders Representative positions, please submit a nomination to Karen@usasa.org. Include the name of the person running for office, his or her email and phone number, and a brief explanation about why that person should be elected. The deadline for nominations is noon on Wednesday, March 20, 2008.
Voting will take place at the Nationals registration area from Friday until Tuesday. Only competitors are eligible to vote. Election results will be announced at the annual Board Meeting on Thursday, April 3, 2008.
The USASA Executive Board is a nine-member body composed of five Executive Board Members, two Riders Representatives, a Series Director Representative and a Coaches Representative.
