well this is my first blog entry on go211 and i find myself in the midst of summer enjoying the offseason to the fullest. after shattering the radius in my left arm in japan in feb it was a flight back to vail for surgery at the steadman hawkins clinic to get put back together and heal for awhile. i returned to maine. got on the couch patatoe recovery program and spent the next six weeks getting ready to host my first pro event at my home mtn. of sugarloaf/usa. the event went well and you can check out the highlights of it right here on go211 under the title championscross. a few days after the race i headed back to points north heli in cordova alaska for my fifth year of riding in the southern chugach range. it was an epic spring season! the most stable snow i had seen in years and my buddy ueli kestenholz and i nabbed a few peaks that we had been hoping for over the past few springs. kevin quinn and his crew at points north did yet another tremendous season of getting people out into the goods that alaska has to offer and all their efforts were greatly appreciated! then it was time for surf. twenty straight days of waves at matapalo on the osa penninsula of costa rica got my arm back to normal and my stoke factor fired up for the summer season. so since june first i have been back at the loaf in maine helping to run my resturaunt, the rack and playing golf every day while waiting for the swell report and hurricane season to kick up and send the waves north to maine. hope everyone out there is enjoying summer wherever you may be. winter will be here before we know it.
